O uso do clicker sem rigor conduz ao insucesso no treino e à frustração de ambos cães e treinadores. Um dos erros mais comuns, de principiante e não só, é clickar e não reforçar o comportamento!

Extinction bursts happen when the behavior goes unreinforced. But when the behavior was clicked it was reinforced since the click has been conditioned as a reinforcer. I don't think a click with no treat will cause an extinction burst. Instead I think it will just weaken the meaning of the click. In order to get a true extinction burst I believe the behavior cannot be reinforced at all, meaning no click and no treat. Ah... but remember your definitions. The learner defines what is reinforcing, and a "reinforcer" is something that causes the likelihood of the target behavior to increase.
1. The dog reacted with frustration to the lack of the treat, which means to me that the click alone isn't a reinforcer to him.2. The dog immediately CHANGED his behavior -- therefore I'd argue the behavior that was clicked wasn't reinforced.
A mild reward that doesn't increase the likelihood of a behavior is just a reward, not a reinforcer. I'd argue that to this dog, the clicker is, unless paired with a treat, a conditioned rewards.

ora nem mais. O pior é quando a definição de reforço não é aquilo que aumenta a frequência do comportamento, mas sim aquilo que o dono acha que reforça o comportamento e assim acabamos com um monte de pessoas que acham que uma festinha é o suficiente para reforçar comportamentos :D
